Well...

that last post and challenge went fantasic. Pretty much as I had planned. So, that being said, I thought I'd update how the team has been doing...

Me: Other than saving the world one memo at a time, I've got my first tri. this season on Sunday. It's a sprint and I'm hoping that I'll be able to inflate my tires properly. I know this is a big goal of mine, so we'll see. It's the same distance as the Hickory Grove Tri. last year, at least I think it is. It'll be interesting to see how my times compare, since that was one of, if not my last tri of last year and this will be my first. Also, the t-shirts are now in. I would say they're sitting in the back of the sweetest Honda Element ever, but that would be giving away the location and ensuring numerous attempted break-in's to Captain Awesome.

Berock: Nothing really going on with him other than winning Cat 5 races around the state.

Dogman: Thinking about rocking the Boji Marathon. Last year's winner went 2:58. Dogman at Boston this year went 3:00. Harder course at Boston, though the Boji Marathon is old-school, basically a self-supportive race. Hopefully not too much fiber for him the night before if he decides to run it. Seriously, who types this stuff.

Dsm911: Recently became Mr. Dsm911. Pretty sure he's on a beach somewhere, either that or modeling in a J Crew catalog. Next time you see him, ask him how the first pitch went at the Cubs game...or Burrito will gladly tell you as well.

Burrito: I owe him 50 bucks, so I'm hoping I don't see him for a while.

Accellerade Warrior: I think I spell accellerade different every time I type it. He recently had a solid time in a mile race. That had to suck. The only time I've ever "run" a mile was in PE. This was also known as my worst day of high school.

Nacho Libre: I've done a few rides with him and he's been a heart rate machine. High speeds plus low heart rate = future solid Ironman bike splits. Though he had two tire blow outs recently. One of which occurred while his bike was in the car. That's what you'll get for pumping pop rocks in there. He's joining me for the Bluff Creek Tri this Sunday. The only thing I don't like about going to races with Nacho Libre is that he insists on listening to Jesse McCartney and Godsmack, back to back. Totally throws me out of the zone.

Droid: Just had his bachelor party last weekend in Colorado. I'm debating changing his name to "hammerhead" due to his recently discovered prowess on his girl bike. We're trying to get him to do the Bluff Creek Tri this Sunday, but he's making apple butter or something.

It's Mister to You!: Des Moines was graced with his presence this weekend. The AP is waiting for the word on his debut this season, possibly the E'burg tri. I'm waiting to hear his report on the ipod swim goggle (or whatever they're called)...if he'd ever use them.

K-Mo: Burrito and I are starting to feel like K-Mo doesn't like us anymore. We hung out a lot more during law school than we do now-a-days.

If anyone has the video of dsm911's pitch at the I Cubs, please post it. I tried to get it with my cell phone, but the "pitch" was so errant it went right out of view of the cell phone camera.

I believe if you check with the officials at Lincoln High you can probably locate the ball. Apparently it landed in one of the classrooms after breaking a window.
